ENTER THE #HEALTHYNJCONTEST TO WIN $500 FOR YOUR COMMUNITY!

Three lucky participants will win a $500 grant to help their community build a Culture of Health.

Entering is simple.

Between April 24 and June 2, snap a photo of yourself, friends, family or colleagues enjoying and creating opportunities to live a healthier life in your community. Share the photo on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and include @njymca, #HealthyNJContest and the name of the New Jersey nonprofit organization that the prize would support.

Photos should fit one of the following categories:

1. Making health a shared value, such as:

• A group volunteering at a park clean-up
• A block closed off to traffic to allow children and families to bike and play catch

2. Creating healthier more equitable communities, like:

• Shopping at a new local farmers’ market
• Cutting the ribbon on an affordable housing project

3. Cross-sector collaboration to improve well-being, like:

• A local nonprofit offering a youth dental clinic
• A school-based teen health program

Your photo could be featured on our website as part of an interactive map.

Examples:

Planting trees to help keep NJ green! Would love to help Tree Foundation buy new supplies with grant money. #HealthyNJContest @njymca

 

Participants and grant recipients must live in/be located in New Jersey to be eligible for the prize.

Contest starts 4/24/17 at 9:00 a.m. ET and ends 6/2/17 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Open to legal residents of NJ, age 18 or older as of entry date. Void where prohibited by law. To enter upload a photo to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and a brief description of how you help build a Culture of Health in your community with @njymca (“Submission”). Tag the Submission with the hashtag #HealthyNJContest. Submission must include an indication of the 501 (c) nonprofit organization in NJ your efforts support. PRIZES: 3 Prize: $500 paid to the nonprofit organization featured in Submission.
